Who are these groups?

InfraGard is a partnership between the FBI and the private sector. It is an association of persons who represent businesses, academic institutions, state and local law enforcement agencies, and other participants dedicated to sharing information and intelligence to prevent hostile acts against the U.S.
In the summer of 1997, Tami Smyrski, who was the contingency planner for Raymond James, organized an informal meeting of other contingency planners in the Bay area to explore the interest in forming a formal organization. They met once or twice more before she resigned her position. Bay Area Contingency Planners Coalition (BACPC) was adopted as the group's name.
Meetings continued throughout 1998; officers were elected in April of 1998. After considering affiliating with ACP, the group decided to organize formally as a nonprofit organization, which was accomplished in the summer of 1998. In 1999 BACPC joined the Association of Continuity Planners and changed its name to the Greater Tampa Bay Chapter of ACP (GTBACP).
Today, the GTBACP has more than 65 members, representing a diverse group of businesses and industries in the Tampa Bay Area. We hold monthly meetings and an annual conference with a focus on educating our members on industry best practices and timely happenings.
Tampa Bay’s IT community represents over 50,000 IT professionals and according to CBRE is the second fastest growing market in the United States.
As we all know and are experiencing, IT is changing fast, and the digital revolution requires new ways to communicate, educate, and conduct business as an IT leader. The need to recruit and retain talent is of critical importance to continue our growth.
The SIM Tampa Bay chapter is a local division of the Society for Information Management (SIM) for top technology executives in the region . Members include senior technology executives from private and public industry organizations, government agencies, and universities.
SIM is the premier professional membership association for the world’s top technology leaders. SIM Tampa Bay offers technology executives several opportunities for professional and personal growth, including:
Giving back to the community through scholarships, mentorship, community involvement initiatives, and educational programs.
